A fascinating summer is in the offing as several clubs look to rejig their setup. Many Premier League clubs already have plans in place to reinforce their squads. Manchester City are in the hunt for a striker. Newcastle want to bring in more talent, while Manchester United need an overhaul.

Perhaps, only Chelsea are unsure of thection it would go in the summer. The Blues are still battling to get in a new owner who will stabilize the boat.

There will be movement in the market, and as usual, the Premier League should be at the forefront of money-changing hands.

Liverpool have a plethora of attacking talent with Diogo Jota, Sadio Mane, Mo Salah, Luis Diaz, Origi and Roberto Firmino on their payroll. It seems the Reds are not satisfied. Reports suggest that Liverpool are interested in signing another striker with Alexander Isak on their radar.

Reds eye Isak

Real Sociedad look set to lose one of their prized assets. Reports in the media suggest that Alexander Isak is the subject of Liverpool's interest, with the Premier League side said to have through intermediaries bid €70 million for the Swedish sensation.

Mundo Deportivo claim that the Premier League giants have their eyes firmly on the attacking talent and are pulling out all the stops to beat Arsenal to his signature. The Gunners have also indicated an interest in the 22-year-old, but Liverpool wants to play the same card they did to Tottenham when they snapped Luis Diaz from under their nose in January.

Jurgen Klopp is looking to avoid a dilemma in his squad. Liverpool is still battling to tie Mo Salah to a new contract. Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino are into the final 15 months of their contracts, and Klopp could do with depth in his squad. Despite signing Luis Diaz from Porto in January, Klopp wants extra quality added to his frontline.

Reports suggest Liverpool tested the waters with a €70 million proposal through an intermediary. The Anfield outfit did not make an official bid for the player. Real Sociedad is aware of Liverpool's interest in Isak, despite not receiving an official offer.

Liverpool’s antics give a fair reflection of what to expect in the summer as the battle for Isak heats up.

A modest rise

The rise of Alexander Isak has been steady, with the Swedish strikerng his career in Sweden with AIK. He moved to Borussia Dortmund in 2017, where he made just two senior for the German side before joining Real Sociedad in 2019. Undoubtedly, Isak has grown into one of the brightest young prospects in Europe.

Isak is held in high esteem in Europe and considered one of the finest attacking talents in European football. The 22-year-old has racked up impressive numbers in successive seasons and has managed to turn heads in hisction.

Recently, he suffered a slump in form but is still regarded highly in Europe. Some of Europe’s elite are looking to sign him, with Manchester City seeing him as an alternative to Erling Haaland. Isak has also earned the admiration of Barcelona and Arsenal.
