Real Madrid approach the final leg of the season with one eye on the prize and another on the next season. Things are looking rosy for Los Merengues, but it has come with sacrifice and pain. Los Blancos currently top the La Liga Santander comfortably and are 12 points above closest rivals Barcelona. With the season seven games from the end, it would take a bold man to bet against Real Madrid scooping the La Liga title. Bookmakers already have them locked on to claim a successive La Liga crown.

Los Blancos are already looking forward to next season. Football has changed, and the traditional clubs are in a battle with oil-rich and state-managed clubs. Real Madrid have to be strategic in their spending to remain competitive, and that is the focus of Florentino Perez, who has done a tremendous job so far.

Real Madrid know they have to make sacrifices to land ‘Galacticos’ to their side and have decided to go for the next generation of superstars. It takes a keen eye to spot talent and a future star. Real Madrid has eyes on Monaco star Aurelien Tchouameni and have stolen a march on others in the quest to sign the youngster.

With a deal for Kylian Mbappe looking likely, Real Madrid have turned their focus to another youngster as they look to build a squad capable of challenging on all fronts next season. Los Blancos have quickly swooped in for French youngster Aurelien Tchouameni and are confident of landing the midfielder despite interest from Liverpool and Chelsea.

After much speculation surrounding interest in Tchouameni, Spanish outlet AS reports that Los Blancos want to sign him.

Tchouameni is regarded as one of the most talented young players in Europe and has been a vital cog for Ligue 1 side in the last two seasons.

Real Madrid are keen to freshen their squad and have been scouring the world for talented youngsters.

They are looking for players that can deliver silverware to the club. Real Madrid is confident that Tchouameni will be plying his trade at the Santiago Bernabeu next season.

A fee and a deal

Negotiations are already ongoing for the signature of 22-year-old central midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni. With pressure and interest coming from England, Tchouameni may have chosen La Liga over a Premier League switch.

According to AS, both parties have made some progress in the last few weeks. Agreement over a fee is stalling the final details of a deal. Monaco believes Tchouameni is worth slightly more than £50 million.

Real Madrid are confident Tchouameni would be a Los Blancos player next season. The club is banking on the desire of the player to join the 13-time European champions. Los Blancos chief scout Juni Calafat has followed Tchouameni’s progress. Calafat believes the deal will happen.

Real Madrid want to build a midfield triumvirate that would be feared. With an ageing midfield of Luka Modric (36), Toni Kroos (32) and Casemiro (30), Tchouameni is seen as a long-term successor to either of them. He would partner Eduardo Camavinga (19) and Federico Valverde (23) to marshall the midfield for the foreseeable future.
