Spirits are up at the Nou Camp following the 4-0 victory over Real Madrid. Los Blaugrana are beginning to have faith in their project, and after their recent struggles in signing players, things haved to look up for the club.
Xavi Hernandez has injected life into Barcelona, and they can have hope for a bright future. The Catalans are not yet out of the woods, but they have worked a miracle by bringing in players that have rejuvenated the side. Perhaps, Arsenal might rue the deal that saw them let Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang leave for the Catalan side. The Gabon striker scored a brace against Real Madrid, adding to his tally since joining the La Liga side.
Barcelona hopes to get more players into their side but are looking for players within their budget. The club seem to have been trying to bring in players on free transfers, even as they battle to stop Dembele from leaving for free. The latest player to join Los Blaugrana is Franck Kessie. Reports suggest that Barcelona have snared the Ivorian midfielder from AC Milan.
Rumours have been rife over the potential signing of Franck Kessie from AC Milan. The Ivorian midfielder has been in the spotlight following his refusal to extend his contract at the Rossoneri. Reports suggest Kessie has signed his contract with Barcelona. According to the report, he will join the Spanish side as a free agent ahead of next season.
After days of speculation, Fabrizio Romano finally gave his signature to confirm a completed deal. According to Romano, after Barcelona reached a verbal agreement with Kessie a couple of days ago, the AC Milan midfielder has finally signed for Barcelona.
AC Milan tried to keep Kessie as they are on course to win Serie A, but it seems the attraction of Barcelona was too strong to resist. The Rossoneri are losing a player of immense quality.
Romano revealed details of the Kessie deal to Barcelona. According to Romano, Kessie signed a contract keeping him at the Nou Camp till June 2026. The four-year deal sees the 25-year-old receive €6.5m net salary plus add-ons. Kessie has completed his medical ahead of the summer move.
The forward has paid his dues and rose from a raw talent to almost the finished product. He joined Milan from Atalanta in the summer of 2017.
Kessie joined Milan on a two-year loan with an obligation to buy. The deal was made permanent in 2019, and he has gone on to make 214 appearances for Milan. In the five years spent at Milan, Kessie scored 36 goals and 16 assists. The Ivorian midfielder will now start a new adventure in Spain.
