Several players have been linked with a move to Liverpool. Leicester star Youri Tielemans was one they closely followed. Another was Donyell Malen, who ended up moving to Borussia Dortmund. After all is said and done, none of them materialized. The Anfield giants are looking out for young talent that will gradually fit into the team and put it in good stead ahead of what comes in the future.

With some of the ageing legs approaching critical moments in their career, Liverpool have quietly gone into overdrive in their quest to bring in the kind of talent that would keep the club in the spotlight.

One of the talents they have spotted may not be keen to move to England, least of all Liverpool. In a recent interview, the young player made statements that will not gladden the hearts of those at Liverpool. In reacting to questions, he revealed his preferred destination.

Liverpool target announces his dream destination

The top clubs will continually be linked to top talent, and Liverpool are no different. The latest player to be associated with a move to the English club is Karim Adeyemi.

The 19-year-old born to a Nigerian father and a Romanian mother currently plays for RB Salzburg, but Liverpool are not top of his list of clubs he’d want to join.

The German international did his reputation a lot of good with his performance in the Champions League tie against Sevilla on Wednesday. The German international won three penalties as the team played a 1-1 draw with the Europa league giants.

In an interview with Marca, a Spanish publication, Adeyemi spoke of his desire to play for Bayern Munich. According to him, his first choice for a move would be Bayern Munich. The recent revelations by Adeyemi put the chances of Liverpool getting the youngster in jeopardy as Bayern are believed to have the player on their radar.

Who is Adeyemi?

Salzburg has had to rely heavily on Adeyemi following the departure of Erling Haaland and Takumi Minamino. He has not disappointed, as his catchy displays have caught the eye of Hansi Flick, who has given him a call-up to the national team.

At Salzburg, he got 1.16 goals & assists per 90 minutes in the 2020/21 season. The current season has seen him chalk up 1.48 goals & assists per 90 minutes, and he has an average of 0.47 goals per shot on target.

At 19, he has shown his versatility in playing upfront. He is adept at both wings and also as the target man. Add to that his burst of acceleration and his speed then, you have a striker destined for greatness. He is also good at dribbling and has excellent build-up play.

It is reported that his value stands at €30 million, and for the potential he holds, it is not exorbitant in today’s market.
