Every player wants to move ahead in his career. Achieving this is not just about playing well but doing it at the highest levels. It is also about winning things, and this comes about by playing for the biggest clubs. Perhaps, this is why Harry Kane wanted to leave Tottenham for a club that has Champions League ambitions.
While ambitious players want to test their abilities against the games’ best, others are content with remaining in their comfort zones. At that level, not much is expected of them. Several players fall into this category.
Can we describe West Ham midfielder Declan Rice as one of such players that prefer to remain in their comfort zone? Maybe, or perhaps, the young lad is just being cautious in making decisions about his future. Rice is comfortable with where he is currently and does not intend to change it any time soon.
Declan Rice has turned from the rejected piece to the wanted cornerstone. The youngster is in fine form at the moment and is attracting attention from two of England’s biggest sides. Manchester City has also indicated an interest in the midfielder, but Chelsea and Manchester United remain the most serious in prizing the star from West Ham.
In recent months, there have been speculations about whether the England international would remain a Hammer. The young lad has punctured every tale that links his immediate future away from West Ham.

Rice has a contract that has three years left to run, but the club is worried about signals they’re receiving from Rice. It seems Rice does not want to play for the Hammers beyond the three years left on his current deal as he has growing Champions League ambitions.
As per Metro, Rice has insisted that he remains a Hammer and is committed to the cause.
Ahead of their Europa League clash with Rapid Vienna on Thursday, Rice spoke extensively about what the future holds for him. According to him, talks concerning his future have been had a lot in the past. He claims that how he feels about West Ham, playing under Moyes and the current group of players, is known to everyone.
He reiterated that he’s not bothered about talks concerning his future at the club because he knows nothing’s up. He also said it shows in his performances and that he’s playing with a smile on his face.
Rice’s only objective at the moment is going out there and giving 100%. He wants to give everything for the club and get three points in every match.
Speaking about the mentality around West Ham, he said that every competition they go into, they go in with the mentality to win.
