PSG indeed loathes thea of Mbappe leaving the club for Real Madrid next season. The Spanish club made a bold attempt to bring the World Cup winner to the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer with a rejected bid of £170 million.
Barca, who are in debt to the tune of €1 billion, is seen as a solution to Al Khelaifi’s headache. He believes that if Neymar leaves, it will convince Mbappe to stay. How Al Khelaifi will make this transfer work remains a mystery as the Catalan giants will have the Brazilian’s salary as a stumbling block even if they stump up the money for Neymar.
Mbappe is free to agree to a pre-contract with other clubs in January, with Real Madrid first on the queue to land him.
