Pep playing premier league fantasy football as pre-season approaches

When it comes to bolstering his star-studded Manchester City team ahead of the 2021/2022 season, Pep Guardiola has been connected with several high-profile signings this summer.

Let’s be honest, Guardiola can attract just about any player, from just about any club and they will want to join his already star-studded team at Manchester City. He is the envy of his Premier League opponents, and they know that if he sets his sights on one of their players, it will be a matter of when the transfer happens, not if.

Bookmakers Odds

Manchester City is 7/10 on the bookmakers' boards to retain the Premier League when the season begins in 2021/2022. After cruising to their third title in four seasons, the oddsmakers are under no illusions that not only will he strengthen his squad but also win the title again.

A slew of top-tier players have already been linked with Manchester City this summer, and the club is believed to have put aside the necessary money to find a suitable successor for Sergio Aguero. Erling Haaland of Borussia Dortmund and England captain Harry Kane are among the players touted to join the club, while Aston Villa star Jack Grealish has surfaced as a possible £100million acquisition.

Attacking three Lions

An attacking three of Gabriel Jesus, Phil Foden, Harry Kane, with Jack Grealish and Kevin De Bruyne supplying the defense-splitting through balls will be too much for most defences to cope with. Phil Foden is one of the best young players in world football, and with Manchester City currently favourites to possibly acquire both Kane and Grealish, the front three of the Three Lions could be plying their trade for the current Premier League champions next season.

Add Riyad Mahrez and Raheem Sterling into this equation, and one of the strongest defences in world football at his disposal, Guardiola could finally lay that Champions League bogey to rest.
