Manchester City Offers £100 Million to Tottenham Hotspurs for Harry Kane

Manchester City has made an opening bid of at least £100 million for Harry Kane. But Tottenham isn’t too keen on letting the 27-year-old striker leave. City is open to a player-plus-money deal for the Brit, but the Spurs are yet to respond. While the first bid hasn’t named potential players for a swap, City is believed to offer up Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus, and Aymeric Laporte, among other players.

While City’s transfer record currently stands at £65 million, they’re willing to shed the tag for the English striker, who has expressed his desire to change sides. City will dash Kane, as Guardiola wants him in the dressing room to ramp up their chances of taking home the Champions League title this year. Daniel Levy has no intention of letting Kane leave as the striker has three years remaining on his contract.

Harry Keen on Transfer

Harry Kane is currently focused on improving his record at Euro 2020 as two disappointing performances kept him from scoring so far this year. As England faces the Czech Republic in the final match of the group stages on Tuesday, Kane will take the opportunity to strike. The player stated that the issue about his future hasn’t affected his game.

According to The Guardian, Kane had previously expressed his desire to move to City as he named Kevin De Bruyne as the player he’d like to team up with. “Some of the balls that he has netted for City are a striker’s dream”, Kane said earlier.

Meanwhile, Tottenham is still searching for interim manager Ryan Mason’s replacement as talks with Paulo Fonseca, Antonio Conte, and Gennaro Gattuso fell through. Kane has had an uneventful career with the Spurs as the team failed to win any trophies during the tenure. The English striker hopes for redemption as he pushes to fulfil his ambitions.
