Di Maria has attracted the interest of Juventus, who remain in search of a creative forward ahead of next season.
PSG have a few players that could possibly be leaving the Paris club as free agents in the summer. The golden boy of the Paris club Kylian Mbappe is also in this limbo, with his current contract expiring on June 30, 2022. A move might be in line, and bookmakers have priced him well to join Real Madrid this summer.
Regardless, PSG want to ensure that Mbappe does not leave. The Real Madrid interest has soured the relationship between the two clubs as PSG continue to try everything possible to convince Mbappe to remain at the club for at least another season.
PSG have made Mbappe ridiculous offers, including offering him a mammoth amount, but the France international continues to rebuff their attempts. While negotiations continue to convince him to remain in the French capital, other players are likely to leave in the summer with their contracts running out. The players are Nuno Mendes, Ángel Di María and Xavi Simons.
Angel Di Maria has already attracted interest from a few clubs, including Italian giants Juventus. The ‘Old Lady’ is keen on signing the former Real Madrid player this summer.
Angel Di Maria has had an illustrious career, crowned by a UEFA Champions League victory in 2014. The Argentine forward is in the twilight of his career and is perhaps seeking a last hurrah before walking off into the sunset. The former Benfica man is out of contract in the summer but already in talks with Juventus.
Juventus have engaged the Argentine and his entourage with the looming possibility of landing the PSG forward on a free transfer this summer. Despite everything looking dandy, it is not a straightforward deal. Juventus are financially limited and are looking for the best deal possible.
Di Maria is one of the finest forwards and would bring plenty to the table for the Bianconeri. Despite being a free agent, the Argentine forward should make a heavy demand on Juventus, eager to sign the player on their terms. Sky Sport Italia reports that Juventus are willing to offer Di Maria no more than €5 million per season.
PSG has made it clear that they would not renew the contract of Angel Di Maria, which expires in the summer. Talks are ongoing between the 34-year-old Argentinian forward and the Bianconeri, who want to replace the departing Paulo Dybala. Juventus need a creative player, and Di Maria ticks all the boxes with his ability to create consistently upfront.
The Bianconeri want to offer Di Maria a one or two-year contract as the Argentina native hopes to finish his career in his country. Di Maria’s willingness to accept a wage cut will determine if the deal will happen.
Di Maria has made 26 appearances in all competitions this season, cumulating 1644 minutes. He has also scored a paltry three goals while recording seven assists.
