Chelsea is looking to sign Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski to lead their attack next season.

The Blues are said to be dissatisfied with the services of Timo Werner and desperate to sign another striker to spearhead their attack.

The London club has reportedly admitted defeat in their chase for Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland. The club will now look to purchase the Bayern striker, who seems to be the next best option.

According to the sun, the Blues are keen on signing the Bayern goal machine and are willing to offer a fee of £50million for the player.

Lewandowski's agent is reportedly looking to secure the striker one last big contract and has offered the striker's services to Real Madrid and Manchester City.

Bayern Munich is, however, not interested in selling the player who still has two years left on his current contract. The German club wants to sign the 32-year-old to another contract that will see him stay at the club beyond the tenure of his current deal.

Lewandowski has won it all in Germany

Lewandowski, one of the bookmakers favourite to win the Ballon d'Or, is reportedly looking to test himself in the English Premier League and as such, fancies a move to England.

The Poland international broke Gerd Muller's long-standing record by scoring 41 times in the 2020/21 Bundesliga season. He has also won numerous domestic cups with Bayern Munich since he joined from fellow Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund.

Lewandowski helped Bayern Munich to six trophies in 2020. That same year, he also picked up various individual awards, including UEFA's men's player of the year, the best FIFA men's player award and the Champions League forward of the season. Lewandowski would have likely won the 2020 Ballon Ballon d'Or had the award not been called off due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Betpack will bring you regular updates on Lewandowski's future.
