Anthony Martial included in Juventus transfer plan

Juventus are having a poor season by their standards, but the Turin giants are currently unperturbed. The arrival of Max Allegri at the club has done little to improve the club’s situation, but a rebuild seems to be in the offing with a few players making their rebuilding project.

When Jose Mourinho joined Manchester United, he ran into problems with several players in the team. He accused the players of not performing to their full potential. The feud eventually saw Mourinho lose his job.

One of the players who fell out with Mourinho was Anthony Martial, who Solskjaer defended before his employment at Old Trafford. It is almost three years down the line, and Solskjaer is still unable to unlock the potential of Anthony Martial, proving that Mourinho was perhaps right all along.

Despite Martial’s downturn in form and appearances for United, he will not be short of suitors if United decide to sell.

Martial on Juventus list

Juventus are on a striker hunt as they look to fortify their attack. Following a poor start to the season that has seen the Old Lady fall short, the club looks to bring in a striker to sharpen their misfiring attack.

Juventus have eyes for Fiorentina forward Dusan Vlahovic but are not too optimistic about landing the Serbian. Fiorentina are seeking around €70-80m for the forward. Juventus have now drawn a five-man alternative list should they miss out on landing their preferred target.

The arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo and Jadon Sancho has complicated Martial’s chances at Old Trafford, who now finds himself on the list. If his situation refuses to improve, Martial could be strutting his stuff in different colours.

Vlahovic, 21, has already indicated that he does not intend to extend his current contract with Fiorentina. The Serbian's stance has alerted Juventus, with Atletico Madrid, Arsenal and Tottenham also interested.

According to Italian outlet Calciomercato, failure to land Vlahovic would see Juve make a move for Martial. Fellow countryman in Arsenal’s Alexandre Lacazette is also on the five-man shortlist.

Martial’s United woes

Anthony Martial has struggled this season to break into theng line-up at Manchester United. The French international has featured seven times across all competitions for United this season, scoring a goal in the process.

Martial’s miserable start to the season has seen him not complete 90 minutes in a single game, restricted to just 155 minutes, with his highest tally a 60-minute appearance.

Martial’s wife publicly called out Ole after the Norwegian claimed Martial was not playing due to injury.

Like Donny van de Beek, Ole claims that Martial has a future at Manchester United. In contrast, some reports claim the club has put the Frenchman up for sale.

Van de Beek and Jesse Lingard are proof of Ole making promises and failing to fulfil them.
